The Leica DISTO D5 is designed for precise outdoor distance measurements. Its digital Pointfinder allows easy targeting even in bright sunlight or over long ranges. The large IPS display clearly shows both the target and results. For extra accuracy, gestures can be used to trigger measurements, which is especially helpful over long distances. With functions such as Smart Horizontal Mode, height tracking, profile, and angle measurements, the device adapts to nearly any site condition. Results can be transferred to the DISTO Plan app or exported to formats like Excel, ensuring an efficient and error-free digital workflow.
Interior and Exterior Use
Indoors or in good lighting conditions, the red laser point is sharp and easy to spot. Outdoors in bright sunlight, the dot may not be visible, but measurements remain accurate. The built-in Pointfinder camera ensures precise targeting by showing the object in the crosshairs on the IPS display.
Precision without Compromise
Contact-free measuring guarantees accuracy by preventing movement when pressing buttons. Simply wave your hand through the laser beam to activate measurement, ensuring exact results without disturbing alignment.
Directly Transfer Measured Results Digitally
With keyboard mode, data can be sent via Bluetooth® straight to an Excel sheet or other forms. Results go directly into the selected cell, reducing errors and speeding up tasks such as documenting profiles or filling forms online.
Precisely Determine Horizontal Distances
Smart Horizontal Mode calculates exact horizontal distances even when objects block the line of sight. By combining tilt and distance data, it delivers accurate results without needing the device perfectly aligned.
Inexpensive Height Profile Measurement
The DISTO easily creates height profiles for landscapes or buildings. By setting a reference line and capturing points, both distance and height differences are stored. Data can be used in CAD software to draw detailed profiles.
Perfectly Documented
With Bluetooth®, measurements are quickly transferred to the DISTO Plan app for floor plans and sketches. These can be exported as PDF or CAD-ready files. A wide range of apps for Windows, Android, and iOS also support the device.
